Mikaela Shiffrin will compete Tuesday in the first of five events she is slated for at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.
The 30-year-old made her Olympic debut in 2014 at Sochi, where she won gold in slalom competition, becoming the youngest athlete to do so in the event at 18-years-old.
The Alpine skiing expert will compete in three events in all, beginning with Women’s team combined at 8 a.m. Tuesday. She will compete in the slalom portion while her teammate, newly minted gold medal-winner Breezy Johnson, will compete in the downhill portion. The action can be seen on Peacock, NBCOlympics.com and on the USA Network.
Shiffrin, who last won a medal at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, can be seen in the following events:

In the 2022 Winter Olympics, Shiffrin failed to medal after not finishing three races. However, she is no stranger to the slopes in Cortina, where she won a World Cup super-G in 2019, and earned a bronze at the 2021 world championships in Cortina as well.
The Colorado native underwent a horrific crash in downhill competition at Cortina in Jan. 2024, and overcame her injuries from a fall in giant slalom competition in Vermont last season, according to The Associated Press.
Shiffrin took to social media to offer support for fellow American skiier Lindsey Vonn, who suffered a crash in Sunday’s downhill final.
