Person in custody following two deadly early morning attacks on Long Island

Police on Long Island are investigating two deadly attacks that happened in the early morning hours Friday.

According to Nassau County Homicide Squad investigators, one person was stabbed to death outside a Wendy’s on Austin Boulevard in Island Park around 12:30 a.m.

A few hours later, at around 3 a.m., another person was killed inside a home in Valley Stream on West Mineola Avenue. Information on how that person died was not immediately clear.

One person has been arrested in connection to both incidents, police said.
