Alysa Liu and Ilia Malinin headline Olympic figure skating gala lineup

Alysa Liu won the last figure skating medal awarded at the XXV Winter Olympic Games on Thursday night, but that won’t be her final performance in Milan.

While the competitive side of figure skating is done at the Olympics, the athletes now get to let their hair down and have fun on Saturday night.

At the Olympic Exhibition Gala, a handpicked group of the most prominent performers from the past two weeks of figure skating action will get to say goodbye to the crowd with final routines.

Unlike the rest of the Olympics, there will be no judging or rivalries between any of the skaters. It will be a celebration of everything that happened during their time at the Games, serving as a proper sendoff for the fans who’ve watched diligently through every discipline.

Liu, along with Amber Glenn, will represent Team USA as the individual women skaters at the gala. Ilia Malinin also accepted a spot to have fun after his strenuous two weeks in Milan, getting to have a final skate following his disappointing end to the men’s solo competition.
