The Chicago Bears had fans on the edge of their seats once again as they took out their rivals, the Green Bay Packers, 31-27 in the NFC Wild Card Game.
Despite trailing 21-3 at halftime after three Packers‘ touchdowns, the Bears didn’t lie down. Instead, the offense woke up in the second half, led by another thrilling Caleb Williams performance with D.J. Moore once again getting the game’s difference-making touchdown.
With two interceptions and some frustrated moments on the sideline, Williams became fired up, finishing with 361 yards and two touchdowns, including his endzone strike to Moore. While he was calm and collected during his postgame interviews, he didn’t hesitate to make a few powerful statements aimed at the rival Packers.

Caleb appeared with teammates D.J. Moore and Coleston Loveland on Amazon Prime’s postgame show with Charissa Thompson and crew to speak about the Wild Card win.
Naturally, the Bears got to put on three cheese grater foam heads, followed by Williams grabbing the real cheese grater to fire up the fans at the stadium.
However, Williams’ remarks during his postgame press conference were extra powerful, as there had been some pre-game chatter from the Packers about wanting this particular matchup for their first-round game.
Williams was asked whether he was motivated or took exception to the “noise” from the Packers before this latest installment in the rivalry.
“Yeah, they wanted us, that’s what I heard. That wanted it, and they got it,” he told reporters.
While Williams admitted he has only a somewhat firm sense of the significance of this win for the city of Chicago, he credited the fans as a “huge part” of the victory.
“Obviously, I’m not out in the city, and I’m not out doing different things, but on game day here tonight was special, and you could feel it. You could feel it from the fans. You could feel the energy,” Williams said.
The Bears await their next opponent, which could be the Philadelphia Eagles should they defeat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. If the 49ers win, the Bears would play the Los Angeles Rams.
However, with the No. 2 seed, the Bears would host either opponent at Soldier Field, a strong advantage with how fired up the fans have become over this team.
