A bicyclist killed last week in a Tahoe-area crash has been identified as a Lafayette man.
James Booth, 42, died Friday, Nov. 28, after a collision with a car on Mount Rose Highway, the Washoe County medical examiner’s office said.
The crash was reported around 12:25 p.m. near milepost 17, in the Galena Creek area, the Nevada Highway Patrol said. Both lanes of the highway, which runs between Reno and Incline Village, were closed in the aftermath of the crash.
No further details of the crash were given.
A Facebook post by the training group Marin Marauders remembered Booth as a skilled cyclist and a kind friend. He was a Chevron executive and the married father of a toddler son.
