Donovan Mitchell scored 24 of his 48 points in the fourth quarter on Friday night as the Cavaliers rallied from 17 points down to pick up a 130-126 road win over the Washington Wizards. Evan Mobley added 23 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists for Cleveland while Darius Garland went for 18 points and six dimes. Jarrett Allen (strained right ring finger), Sam Merrill (sprained right hand), and Max Strus (left foot surgery) are expected to be game-time decisions on Sunday.
Charlotte couldn’t hold a 13-point lead in the second half on Friday night, dropping a 129-126 decision to the visiting Chicago Bulls. Rookie Kon Knueppel scored a career-high 33 points to go with nine assists, while Miles Bridges scored 32 points. Brandon Miller tossed in 18 points in the loss. LaMelo Ball (bruised left ankle), Collin Sexton (strained left quad), Grant Williams (knee surgery), Tre Mann (bruised right knee), and Pat Connaughton (right calf strain) all sat out on Friday and are game-time decisions on Sunday.
Mitchell averages 31.3 points for Cleveland, with Mobley getting 19.1 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. Garland posts 14.4 points and 6.2 assists a night. Bridges leads the Hornets with an average of 21.4 points, Ball nets 19.4 points and 8.5 assists per game, and Moussa Diabaté grabs a team-high 7.6 rebounds per contest.
