A Humboldt Park apartment caught on fire overnight and injured two people, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
The fire, in the 1100 block of North Lawndale Avenue, was distinguished before 2 a.m., according to the fire department.
A Chicago firefighter was injured by debris and taken in stable condition to Mount Sinai Hospital. A person was also taken to St. Mary’s in good condition.
The cause is under investigation, according to the fire department.
