The Indiana State Senate introduced a bill to establish the Northwest Indiana Stadium Authority, which would acquire and finance the construction of a new Chicago Bears stadium in Northwest Indiana, with the support of Indiana Governor Mike Braun and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
