Iran’s Seizure of Ships Is not Violation of Ceasefire As a result of They Aren’t American or Israeli Ships – Foxton News

On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox Information Channel’s “The Story,” White Home Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt mentioned that the president doesn’t see Iran’s seizure of two ships as a violation of the ceasefire as a result of the ships weren’t American or Israeli.

Host Martha MacCallum requested, “I wish to ask you about these ships that Iran seized. We’re persevering with to get reporting on this. Does the seizure of two ships — as we mentioned, they had been Greek and Mediterranean-owned ships with cargo on them, and the reviews are that Iran mainly seized them after which moved them into Iranian waters. We don’t know what’s going to occur to those crews. We’re unsure the place all of that is going. Does the president view that as a violation of the ceasefire?”

Leavitt answered, “No, as a result of these weren’t U.S. ships. These weren’t Israeli ships. These had been two worldwide vessels. And for the American media, who [are] type of blowing this out of proportion to discredit the president’s info that he has fully obliterated Iran’s standard Navy, these two ships had been taken by speedy gunboats. Iran has gone from having probably the most deadly Navy within the Center East to now performing like a bunch of pirates. They don’t have management over the strait. That is piracy that we’re seeing on show. And the naval blockade that america has imposed continues to be extremely efficient. And, to be clear, the blockade is on ships going to and from Iranian ports. And the purpose of that is the financial leverage that we preserve over Iran now. Whereas there’s a ceasefire with respect to the navy and kinetic strikes, Operation Financial Fury continues, and the crux of that’s this naval blockade.”
