Detectives are investigating the slaying of a 38-year-old man Thursday morning on the West Side.
The unidentified victim, 38, was found in the street about 8:15 a.m. in the 300 block of South Springfield Avenue, unresponsive suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Area 4 detectives are investigating.
