Man crashes car after being fatally shot in Calumet Heights, police say

A man crashed his car in Calumet Heights after being fatally shot Tuesday night, according to Chicago police.

The man, 49, was driving in the 8800 block of South Paxton Avenue at 7:49 p.m. when he was shot twice in the head and crashed, police said. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center and pronounced dead, police said.

No one was in custody, police said.
