The fast food chain announced Tuesday that the Big Arch Burger will debut on March 3 and be sold for a limited time in participating restaurants nationwide.
“It’s our ‘most McDonald’s, McDonald’s burger’ yet — a love letter to fans who simply can’t get enough,” the company said in its announcement.
The Big Arch Burger consists of two quarter pound beef patties, three slices of melted white cheddar cheese and both slivered and crispy onions, topped with fresh lettuce and pickles — all between a pair of toasted buns featuring poppy and sesame seeds.
The buns get slathered in what McDonald’s describes as a “game-changing” tangy sauce, with a “perfect balance of mustard, pickle and sweet tomato flavors.”
“It’s like all ur favorite McD’s burgers in one burger,” the company captioned a video on Instagram, while tweeting that the Big Arch Burger is “WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MAKE A MCDONALD’S BURGER IN ALL CAPS.”
McDonald’s didn’t provide nutritional information about its latest creation and hasn’t responded to an inquiry about how the Big Arch Burger measures up to the Big Mac, which consists of two beef patties and clocks in at 580 calories.
A version of the Big Arch Burger sold in Great Britain clocks in at just over 1,000 calories.
The most caloric burger currently on the U.S. menu is the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese. That item has the same sized beef patties as the Big Arch Burger and packs 740 calories.
McDonald’s announced in the summer of 2024 that it was testing the Big Arch Burger in Canada using “100% Canadian beef.” The burger also appeared in Portugal that same year and has since popped up at other overseas locations, according to food site Delish.
