Natalie Portman is adding another title to her résumé: mom of three.
The Thor: Love and Thunder star, 44, revealed she’s pregnant and expecting her third child — and her first with partner Tanguy Destable — in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“Tanguy and I are very excited,” she said. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”
Portman and Destable were first linked in March 2025 by French outlet Voici, roughly a year after she finalized her divorce from ex-husband Benjamin Millepied.
The actress is already mom to son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, 9, whom she shares with Millepied. While she tends to keep her kids out of the spotlight, they’re not exactly oblivious to her Hollywood status — in fact, they’ve helped shape it. According to Portman, her children were the ones who encouraged her to suit up as Mighty Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder.
“I feel like it’s the phase of my career where I’m really trying to just impress my kids,” Portman told Variety in June 2022.
Even as she keeps their lives largely private, Portman isn’t shy about hyping her kids up. During a January appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she revealed that her son Aleph has already launched his own clothing line.
“My son, my 14-year-old, started a clothing line called Vanté. I’m very proud of him,” she said. “He really just did it all on his own. And so I wore one of his shirts on stage. So I just kind of felt like a banner for him. It was very exciting.”
In a separate conversation with Jenna Ortega for Interview Magazine, the Black Swan star described her kids as her biggest source of joy.
“My kids are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are,” she told Ortega. “Also, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my friends, with their kids and my kids; that’s pretty fun.”
As for why fans don’t see much of them? That’s by design.
“I’m not a particularly private person in real life—I’ll tell you anything—but in public, it was so clear early on that if you tell people how private you are, your privacy gets respected a lot more,” she explained. “I set up a little bit of a barrier to be like, ‘I’m not going to do photo shoots with my kids.’”
