Netflix announces ‘The Investigation of Lucy Letby’ documentary – how to watch

Netflix is adding to its already bursting catalog of True Crime documentaries with “The Investigation of Lucy Letby”, a feature-length film following the case of Lucy Letby, a British neonatal nurse who was found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder seven others under her care.

Kept well under wraps, not even having a page on IMDb, the documentary boasts never-before-seen footage from Letby’s arrests and police questioning, as well as the mother of one of the victims speaking for the first time publicly.

Dominic Sivyer, the film’s director, shared the documentary’s trailer on Instagram, with the following caption:

“I am very happy to announce that my latest film, The Investigation of Lucy Letby, will be released worldwide on @netflix on 4 February 2026. 

This feature-length documentary, years in the making, examines the case of Lucy Letby, the British neonatal nurse found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder seven others under her care. For the first time, British police who investigated the case speak on camera, alongside never-before-seen footage from Letby’s arrests and police questioning. 

The film brings together voices from both sides of the legal process, including lawyers and experts, as well as the mother of one of the victims, speaking publicly for the first time. Told chronologically and grounded entirely in firsthand testimony, it is the most comprehensive examination yet of one of Britain’s most disturbing criminal cases.
