Merrily We Roll Along is a tale told in reverse chronological order about the lives of three friends, one of whom, Franklin Shepard (Jonathan Groff), is a talented composer of musicals who slowly abandons his friends to become a big time Hollywood producer. This newly-released version of the Stephen Sondheim classic is a filmed version of the 2023 Broadway revival, and co-stars Daniel Radcliffe, Lindsay Mendez, and Krystal Joy Brown. (This film is not to be confused with a second version directed by Richard Linklater which is currently in production and will actually be filmed over the course of twenty years and co-stars Paul Mescal, Beanie Feldstein and Ben Platt.)
