Upcoming housing and land use-related events:
- Monday, March 9 at 10 a.m.: The City Council’s Committee on Housing and Buildings will hold an oversight hearing on the Third Party Transfer program, which allows the city to seize negligent properties and transfer them to new ownership to make repairs. More here.
- Monday, March 9 at 1 p.m.: The City Council’s Committee on General Welfare will meet about several bills related to homeless shelter intake, as well as outreach efforts during extreme cold weather. More here.
- Tuesday, March 10 at 9:30 a.m.: The Landmarks Preservation Commission will meet, and the research department will hold public hearings on: Public School 15 Annex – 362 Schermerhorn Street, Church of Saint Mary – 440 Grand Street, and Lithuanian Alliance Building – 307 West 30th Street. More here.
- Wednesday, March 11 at 5 p.m.: NYCHA tenants and allies will rally on East Fordham Road in the Bronx to call the Mamdani administration’s attention to issues in public housing. More here.
- Wednesday, March 11, 5:30 to 7 p.m. or 7 to 8:30 p.m.: The Mamdani administration will hold its third “rental ripoff” hearing in the Bronx for renters who want to share their experiences with city officials. Space is limited, and registration is required. More here.
- Thursday, March 12 at 2 p.m.: The City Planning Commission will hold a public scoping meeting on the Columbia Heights Rezoning, which proposes a 13 to 16 story development with 640 apartments at 51 Furman St. More here.
- Thursday, March 12 at 6 p.m.: CUNY Hunter College’s Roosevelt House will hold a panel discussion marking the 90th anniversary of NYCHA’s First Houses project on the Lower East Side, the nation’s first public housing complex. More here.
- Monday, March 16 at 1 p.m.: The City Planning Commission will hold a public review session. More here.
- Monday, March 16 at 6 p.m.: The Department of City Planning will host an online workshop unpacking the housing-related ballot measures passed by voters in November. More here.
- Monday, March 16 at 6 p.m.: New York City Economic Development Corporation will hold an online public scoping meeting about plans to redevelop the Brooklyn Marine Terminal in Red Hook. More here.

- House 55, Brooklyn, for households earning between $126,412 – $227,500 (last day to apply is 3/9)
- Maison Bond Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $37,955 – $175,000 (last day to apply is 3/9)
- 169-13 90th Avenue Apartments, Queens, for households earning between $91,029 – $227,500 (last day to apply is 3/10)
- Cove 41, Queens, for households earning between $94,355 – $227,500 (last day to apply is 3/10)
- 598 Saratoga Avenue Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $113,280 – $181,440 (last day to apply is 3/10)
- 1730 Bedford Avenue Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $94,869 – $227,500 (last day to apply is 3/11)
- 107 Mott Street Apartments, Manhattan, for households earning between $71,040 – $189,540 (last day to apply is 3/12)
