A few coaches are feeling pressure to win games in the CFP this year. Miami head coach Mario Cristobal would silence some doubters with a win over No. 7 Texas A&M on Saturday.

Probably no coach is feeling more heat than second-year head coach Kalen DeBoer at Alabama.
Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding is inheriting a good spot.
The No. 6 Rebels are set to host No. 11 Tulane on Saturday in the first round of the CFP. That will be Golding’s first game as a head coach after he was promoted from the defensive coordinator gig after Lane Kiffin left for LSU.
Paul Myerberg of USA Today had a brutal reality check for Rebels fans before the CFP. Myerberg ranked Golding as the worst head coach in the CFP this year.
“Golding will step in for LSU-bound Lane Kiffin for this playoff run and will be the permanent replacement moving forward,” Myerberg wrote. “While he knows the SEC from his stints at Alabama and with the Rebels, Golding has never been a head coach on any level.”
Ole Miss made a risky decision to cut ties with Kiffin before the CFP. The Rebels’ leadership council reportedly voted 9-3 for Kiffin to coach the CFP, but the school went in another direction.
The Rebels should have enough talent to get past Tulane in the first round, regardless of the head coach. Ole Miss won the first matchup with the Green Wave 45-10 on Sept. 20.
However, things will be a little trickier for Golding and Ole Miss if they make it to play Georgia in the CFP semifinal. Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart is one of the best coaches in college football.
