Pit bull not impressed with owner’s Pilates technique, hysterics over why

A dog owner who needed a ball during a Pilates session improvised with the next best thing she could find—but her rescue pit bull was far from impressed, and the canine’s reaction has since gone viral online.

Nina Mazzulla, from Chicago, Illinois, was attempting to complete a Pilates workout at home when she realized she needed a ball for one of the exercises. Rather than skipping the move or stopping her routine altogether, Mazzulla opted to use one of the squeaky balls belonging to her rescue dog, Zara.

Unfortunately for Mazzulla, the decision did not sit well with 4-year-old Zara. The pit bull’s reaction was captured in a short video that the owner shared to the dog’s dedicated TikTok account, @zarathepit. The clip shows Zara staring intently at her ball as it sits trapped beneath Mazzulla’s upper back, the pup’s expression a mix of confusion and disbelief.

As Mazzulla continued her workout, lifting her body to perform crunches, Zara watched closely before attempting to retrieve her prized possession. Each movement seemed to reignite the dog’s determination, as she repeatedly tried to reclaim the ball without causing too much disruption. Mazzulla later joked in a TikTok comment that Zara was left “speechless but polite” by the ordeal.

Internet viewers have been thoroughly entertained by Zara’s defiant yet restrained response. The video has racked up more than 174,000 views and over 40,000 likes at the time of writing, with viewers praising the dog’s persistence and emotional restraint. The caption accompanying the clip jokes that Mazzulla “had to improvise for Pilates,” thanks to some unintended help from Zara.

In the clip, Mazzulla places Zara’s squeaky ball beneath her upper back to create a raised position for abdominal exercises. However, every time she lifted herself off the ground, Zara saw it as an opportunity to intervene.
