River North shooting leaves 1 dead, 3 in critical condition

Four people were shot, one fatally, in the River North neighborhood early Sunday, according to Chicago police.

The victims were getting into a car around 2:35 a.m. in the 400 block of North La Salle Drive when four gunmen walked up and opened fire, police said.

The four shooting victimes were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. A 34-year-old man was shot several times and pronounced dead. The other three are all in critical condition: a 36-year-old man shot in the chest, a 43-year-old man shot in the back and a 35-year-old man shot multiple times, according to police.

No one is in custody, police said.
