(KRON) — A preliminary 2.5-magnitude earthquake jolted the South Bay Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was 5 miles east of Gilroy at a depth of just over 4 miles. The quake occurred at 11:51 a.m., USGS said. There were no initial reports of damage.
