(KRON) — A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck near the South Bay Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was nearly 15 miles east-northeast of San Jose’s Alum Rock. The quake occurred at 6:54 a.m., USGS said, at a depth of 5 miles. There were no initial reports of damage or injuries.
