The Devil Drinks Starbucks.
Starbucks launched a secret menu to celebrate “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” which hits theaters May 1.
The coffee giant is introducing a curated lineup of beverages inspired by the characters of the highly anticipated sequel, which are available exclusively in the Starbucks app.
Each beverage is meant to reflect the personalities of the cast fans know and love from the original 2006 film: Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), Andrea “Andy” Sachs (Anne Hathaway), Nigel Kipling (Stanley Tucci) and Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt).
“The Devil Wears Prada 2” Secret Menu features Miranda’s Signature Order, which is a no-foam, extra-shot, extra-hot Caffè Latte with nonfat milk, “because anything less would prompt … questions,” the press release reads.
And as we know, Miranda Priestly would like her Starbucks waiting.
Andy’s Cappuccino is an oatmilk Cappuccino with caramel and cinnamon — “simple, elevated, and ready to walk the line between who she was and who she’s becoming.”
“Gird your loins…” reads the description for Nigel’s Go-to Doppio, quoting Tucci’s character in the first film. Nigel’s “bold and refined” drink is a Doppio Espresso Con Panna with mocha sauce.
Lastly, Emily’s Fave Iced Chai is an Iced Chai Latte with almond milk and sugar-free caramel, “fussy, with every sip enjoyed at a glacial pace… or not,” the description said, calling back to a Miranda Priestly quote in the first film.
“By all means, move at a glacial pace. You know how that thrills me,” Priestly said in the iconic line.
“Starbucks has been part of The Devil Wears Prada universe since the original film,” Erin Silvoy, senior vice president of global marketing at Starbucks, said in a statement.
“We’re excited to bring that connection to life again, giving fans a way to step into the moment – starting with their daily coffee.”
The beverages will be available for a limited time in participating stores around the world.
The secret menu is just part of Starbucks’ broader collaboration with “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” Starting April 24, the Starbucks Reserve location in the Empire State Building in New York City will be offering copies of the limited-edition promotional “Runway Magazine,” the publication Miranda Priestly runs.
“It’s all good energy with Starbucks and our new movie, ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2,’” Lylle Breier, EVP, Partnerships, Promotions, Synergy & Events at Disney, said.
“We are thrilled to be collaborating in such a big way with Starbucks on a bold, clever, and thematic global program designed to delight fans around the world.”
