Donald Trump said he “no longer feels an obligation to think purely of Peace” as he linked his pursuit of Greenland to not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, according to a letter seen by Bloomberg.
In a letter reportedly sent by the US president to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, Trump wrote: “Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace.”
He added: “The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland”.
Newsweek has not seen a copy of the letter. In a response to Bloomberg, Store said, he had explained to the president, the independent Nobel Committee decides who receives the Nobel Peace Prize, and not the Norwegian government.
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
