Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 has only been out in full for a few hours but that isn’t stopping fans, or Walker Scobell, from looking ahead to Season 3.
**Spoilers ahead for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 finale, now streaming on Disney+ and Hulu**
After Percy, Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), and the rest of the gang at Camp Half-Blood worked together to save Thalia Grace (Tamara Smart) and bring her back to life with the Golden Fleece, it’s now a waiting game to see how Percy and Thalia’s relationship plays out.
As a huge fan of The Titan’s Curse, the third book in Rick Riordan‘s Percy Jackson series, Scobell says he is already getting giddy at the idea of the viewers seeing one particular moment he improvised while on set.
“It just kind of matches the season and all of our dynamics together,” Scobell told DECIDER in a recent interview, careful not to give away any details about the scene.
The young actor did share that the scene he’s excited for fans to see involves Thalia and includes an improvised moment on his part, but that it could end up on the cutting room floor for one reason or another. That said, he’s still excited for all that is to come between his character and Smart’s, who will go back and forth as Percy and Thalia have a seriously complicated relationship in the original source material.
“I think her and Percy’s banter is pretty funny,” Scobell shared. “I think out of everybody, I would say Tamara and I are, I guess, closest to each one of our characters in that way because we have the same arguments on and off set… For us, it’s funny. For Percy? Yeah, not so funny.”

The good news is that fans will not have to wait too long to find out what kind of arguments Thalia and Percy are having in Season 3, as Disney+ has confirmed the next season will hit the streaming service by the end of the year. It’s a welcome announcement after a nearly two-year break between the release of the first season and the second season.
Additionally, Disney is keeping the fans fed with recent casting announcements, first looks, and teasers, including one short snippet of Percy and Annabeth’s dance scene, which was released on Wednesday just hours after the finale hit Disney+ and Hulu.
Along with the clip, fans have also gotten the confirmation of incoming actors like Olive Abercrombie and Levi Chrisopulos who will play Nico and Bianca di Angelo, sibling demigods who Grover (Aryan Simhadri) finds at a military school in New England. Logan actress Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry also join the cast for Season 3, playing Artemis and Zoë Nightshade, respectively.
No official word yet on the date for Season 3, but knowing it’s coming this year is at least a start. In the meantime, fans can always read (or reread) The Titan’s Curse to prepare!
