KJ Dillard is skating his way into the Hamptons share house for Summer House Season 10.
Introduced as a friend of Missouri native West Wilson, Dillard—one of six newbies this season— is described by the sports journalist as a “mild-mannered” guy who, after three to four tequila sodas, will “throw his grill in, flip his hat backwards, and start to rage.” While they are both from the Midwest, Wilson can’t help but cave to the fact that Dillard might be “cuter” than him.
So, who is Summer House star KJ Dillard? And what has he shared so far on this season of Summer House? Keep reading for everything we know!
Who is Summer House star KJ Dillard?
Dillard is a 28-year-old skateboarder and model. Born in Arizona and raised in Kansas City, Dillard spent nearly a decade as a professional skateboarder before turning his focus to his modeling and music careers. According to Dillard, he got his first skateboard at the age of six or seven, and he went viral when he was 19 for a trick he invented, now known as the “one foot crooked grind.” Prior to joining Summer House, he spent two summers modeling in Europe.
As for his family life, Dillard lived in Arizona until his parents separated when he was 10 and he moved to Kansas City. While his dad played left field for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Dillard said he and his two younger sisters were raised by their mom, a nurse.
What has KJ Dillard said about his mental health?
In the Summer House Season 10 premiere, Dillard shared that he had been dealing with anxiety since he was 14 years old—and that he used “skating” and other “daredevil” activities to keep his anxiousness under control.
In a November 2025 Instagram post, Dillard revealed that he had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder after more than a decade of struggling with “attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, and depression,” calling the diagnosis “life changing.”
“For years, my mental health has been a thorn in my side. It’s a topic that I often write about it in my music, but rarely share online,” he wrote. “On social media, it’s easy for me to hide behind a screen, post my highlights and act like everything is okay when in reality everything is not. It’s okay to not be okay. That’s what community is for. This isn’t a cry for help, or anything like that, but more of a ‘I’m a human being human’ post. This is my surrender. It’s a time for me to peel off a temporary bandage on a permanent wound. To anyone else hurting, I’m healing with you…”
