Michigan dispensaries are rolling out some big 4/20 deals, with discounts beginning as early as Thursday and continuing through Monday, when the unofficial cannabis holiday falls this year.
From deep discounts and giveaways to parties and a trip to Cancun, shops across metro Detroit are going all out.
Whether you’re looking for top-shelf flower, edibles, concentrates, or a few free extras, there’s no shortage of ways to stock up.
The Refinery in Detroit: With one of the largest selections of cannabis in metro Detroit, the Refinery already has some of the lowest prices in Michigan. But beginning Friday, the deals get even better. Customers who spend at least $100 from Saturday to Monday receive a free ounce of flower from Hytek, a high-quality cultivator next to the dispensary, while supplies last. With some exceptions, the Refinery is offering 15% off products on Saturday, 20% off on Sunday, and 30% on Monday. On Saturday, the Refinery is dropping Growing Pains live rosin thumbprints. And at 9 a.m. Monday, the dispensary has an exclusive drop of two-gram live rosin jars of a mixed wash of Lantz and HY-Z.
The Hive in Hazel Park: One of the most unique and beloved dispensaries in metro Detroit, the Hive (21630 John R Rd.) is hosting a 4/20 celebration on Monday, with deals, giveaways, raffles, food trucks, and activities running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first 200 customers to spend at least $100 get a “special bag with goodies worth $300.” The event includes deals on flower and concentrates. Also, buy an ounce of the Hive’s in-house flower and get seven grams for free. At 4:20 p.m., a balloon drop will take place at Boozy’s Bar and Grill one block away (21504 John R Rd.).
Nature’s Remedy in Ferndale: One of the most reputable dispensaries for high-quality cannabis in Michigan, Nature’s Remedy (925 E. Drayton St.) is hosting “a pre-game party” with goodie bag giveaways valued at over $100 to the first 25 customers at each 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4:20 p.m. The party includes exclusive drops, live music, food and drinks, a lollipop artist, tie-dye station, and vendors. Other deals include half off Peninsula Gardens rosin, hash holes, and disposables, 40% off 710 Labs, Doja, Fear of Boof, Super Dope, and Good Tides, and discounts on numerous other products.
King of Budz (Multiple locations) : Another large dispensary with a huge selection, King of Budz in Detroit (10457 Gratiot Ave.) and Roseville (29999 Groesbeck Hwy.) is featuring so many deals that it would be impossible to post them all. For high-quality cannabis, the best deals between Friday and Monday are 40% off 710 Labs live rosin and vape pens, 30% off eighth-ounce prepacks of Growing Pains and Wise Guys, and 25% off Peninsula Gardens rosin vape pens, half-ounce and ounce jars of Michigrown flower. On Monday, all deli flower is 20% off, and the first 125 customers who make a purchase at 9 a.m. or 4:20 p.m. get a free gift bag. Also, check out the dispensaries’ food trucks, live DJs, raffles, vendor pop ups, and more.
Cloud Cannabis in Detroit: Beginning Thursday, Cloud Cannabis (16001 Mack Ave.) is offering up to 50% off on more than 60 brands through Monday. About two dozen brands, including Pro Gro, Midnight Roots, Lost Farms, Vapin Ape, Wyld, and Pleasantrees are half off. Among the brands that are 40% off are High Minded, Seed Junky, Strait Fire, Uplyfted, and Glo. Cloud is offering 30% off 710 Labs, Hytek, Hyman, and others. On Monday, the first 200 customers receive a free “420 hash bag,” which includes prerolls, flower, and edibles, as well as a bandana, sticker, and patches.
House of Dank (multiple locations)
House of Dank is hosting a three-day 4/20 celebration at all 15 of its Michigan locations from Saturday to Monday, featuring DJs, food trucks, giveaways, and rotating deals. The metro Detroit locations include three Detroit stores (3340 E. 8 Mile, 3394 S. Fort St., and 11999 Gratiot), Center Line (26829 Lawrence Ave.), and Garden City (32330 Ford Rd.), and they’ll open 24 hours a day this weekend. With dozens of deals, you should have no trouble finding a discount on your favorite cannabis.
Quality Roots (multiple locations): With five dispensaries in metro Detroit, it’s not hard to find a Quality Roots dispensary. They’re in Hamtramck (2024 Caniff Ave.), Berkley (3916 W. Eleven Mile Rd.), Madison Heights (350 E. 14 Mile Rd.), Pontiac (41 Walton Blvd.), and Waterford (1700 Tull Ct.), and each one began rolling out dozens of deals on Thursday. Free grams of flower are available Friday, with “doorbuster bags” to the first 200 customers on Saturday and Monday. On Sunday, the first 100 customers who spend at least $60 receive a Society C live resin cartridge, Yeti Ready to Roll ounce, or Yeti 10 pack of prerolls, in addition to a one-gram Redemption preroll.
JARS Cannabis (multiple locations): From Friday through Monday, JARS Cannabis locations are featuring deals that include up to 50% off select brands as part of what the dispensary chain calls “the biggest 420 celebration in the Great Lakes State.” JARS is offering up to 50% off select brands. On Monday, the chain is also giving away 7,500 “stash bags,” which include a mix of products, merchandise, and brand giveaways, across all Michigan stores to the first customers. The metro Detroit dispensaries are in Hazel Park (20731 Dequindre Rd.), Detroit (11400 E. 8 Mile Rd.), Center Line (26700 Liberal St.), New Baltimore (51679 Gratiot), Madison Heights (1035 12 Mile Rd.), Mt. Clemens (101 N. Groesbeck Hwy.), Utica (45221 Utica Park Blvd.), and Riverview (18580 Fort St.)
Pleasantrees (multiple locations): Beginning Thursday, Pleasantrees is running deals that progressively get better through Monday. For this celebration, Pleasantrees is offering 20% off storewide and 30% off Death Row Cannabis, a brand curated by Snoop Dogg, on Thursday. From Friday through Sunday, the deal is 30% off storewide, and 40% off Death Row. And on Monday, the storewide discount is 40% off, with 50% off Death Row. The metro Detroit locations are Hamtramck (2238 Holbrook St.), Lincoln Park (1504 John A Papalas Dr.), and Mt. Clemens (237 N. River Rd.).
Green Pharm (multiple locations): Green Pharm packs a lot of high-quality cannabis in its two metro Detroit locations – Hazel Park (812 E. 9 Mile) and Detroit (2619 Schaefer Hwy.). The 420 celebration runs from Saturday to Monday and includes 40% off 710 Labs, Rove, Pressure Pack, and Amnesia. All Seed Junky infused prerolls and pre-packed eighths of flower are 50% off all month. On Monday, Wojo products are 40% off. Green Pharm is also serving up an all-inclusive vacation for two to Cancun, Mexico.
This is only a snapshot of what’s out there. Many dispensaries are running deals through the long weekend and into Monday, so check menus for daily specials and updated offers. And plan ahead because 4/20 is still one of the busiest days of the year for cannabis shopping, and lines are likely.
