A suburban man was indicted on a grand theft charged after authorities alleged he evaded nearly $22,000 in tolls on the Ohio Turnpike, according to law enforcement.
Moath Musamih, 39, a semi driver from Orland Park, was indicted on April 21 after failing to pay tolls during a two-year period. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said it worked with the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission and determined Musamih repeatedly used the turnpike between April 2024 and April 2026 while evading tolls.
State officials haven’t said how Musamih allegedly managed to avoid paying tolls.
He is set to make an initial court appearance on May 11.
