The bodies of two people were found inside a home in Wilmington, Delaware, according to residents in the area.
Police and hazmat crews gathered outside a property on the 1300 block of West 7th Street on Thursday, April 16. While police have not said why they were at the home, neighbors in the area told NBC10 the landlord visited the property that morning for a welfare check and discovered two bodies inside.
“Apparently it smelled really bad there for a couple of months and they’ve been complaining to the landlord that it’s been smelling,” Rob Pfeiffer, a neighbor, told NBC10.
Neighbors said the landlord called police who removed the bodies around 11 a.m. The residents told NBC10 they’re unsure who the two victims are.
A city health worker arrived at the apartment Thursday afternoon and crews are working to clean the building.
