2 bodies found inside home in Wilmington, Delaware, neighbors say

The bodies of two people were found inside a home in Wilmington, Delaware, according to residents in the area.

Police and hazmat crews gathered outside a property on the 1300 block of West 7^th Street on Thursday, April 16. While police have not said why they were at the home, neighbors in the area told NBC10 the landlord visited the property that morning for a welfare check and discovered two bodies inside.

“Apparently it smelled really bad there for a couple of months and they’ve been complaining to the landlord that it’s been smelling,” Rob Pfeiffer, a neighbor, told NBC10.

Neighbors said the landlord called police who removed the bodies around 11 a.m. The residents told NBC10 they’re unsure who the two victims are.

A city health worker arrived at the apartment Thursday afternoon and crews are working to clean the building.
