Police are searching for a man who is wanted in connection to a deadly stabbing that happened a week ago, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
Rahsign Richards, 27, is accused of stabbing 30-year-old Malik Green on Saturday, April 18 around 2:28 p.m., police said.
Officers were called to the 400 block of Tasker Street in South Philadelphia that day after someone reported that a person had a gun, police explained.
When they got to the scene they said they found Green on the 1600 block of South Lawrence Street suffering from stab wounds to his chest.
Green was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead around 2:38 p.m., officials said.
When officials conducted a post-mortem exam on Green it was found that his cause of death was the stab wounds he suffered and his death was ruled as homicide.
Investigators explained that they identified Richards as the suspect in this case.
Richards is described as 6 foot 11 and weighs about 160 pounds, police said.
