Pennsylvania State Police are still working to get answers in the 1999 homicide of a man in Chester County.
Almost 30 years after the homicide, the Pennsylvania State Police Embreeville Criminal Investigation Unit and Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigation Assessment Unit are continuing their investigation into the case of Carnell “Poppy” Hooper, who was shot to death inside his home on Sept. 28, 1999.
According to police, at approximately 6:30 a.m., an unknown suspect entered Hooper’s home on Ash Street in South Coatesville Borough.
Hooper began to struggle with the individual and was shot to death during the altercation, officials said.

PSP Tips is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
