After record-setting 90-degree heat this week that provided a brief preview of July weather, get ready to travel back in time for some late-winter-like conditions. Afternoon temperatures will only be in the low 50s Sunday through Tuesday.
Overnight lows drop to the 30s Tuesday morning in the city. Get your warm coats out again!

As for the weekend, Saturday will be the better half. Temperatures will be warmer and skies will be brighter and dry.

A cold front will slide through the regions Sunday and bring a much different feel to the day: colder, gray and wet.

Rain will move in Saturday night and continue sporadically through Sunday afternoon, so make your outdoor plans for Saturday and think about reading a good book or binge-watching your favorite series on Sunday.

The good news is that the rain will taper off late Sunday afternoon and evening, with brighter skies set for Monday and Tuesday. So, even though temperatures will be well below normal as the work week begins, the sunshine will help make it a little more tolerable.
How cold will we get? Tuesday morning will be the coldest of the week, with lows in the 20s and 30s in most areas.

The other piece of good news is that temperatures will rebound and become warmer than normal by the middle of next week.
