Wentzville was struck Friday afternoon by sudden straight-line winds reaching nearly 65 miles per hour, causing widespread damage including downed power lines, snapped trees and damaged homes. Residents in St. Charles County are now facing significant cleanup and power restoration efforts following the intense weather event.
