Cool enough for you out there this Monday morning?
Tomorrow’s AM chill is likely going to be worse, though the high will be much closer to 60 than to 50, unlike Monday’s forecast high.
A freeze warning is in effect for virtually the entire tri-state area, with sub-freezing temperatures likely overnight. In other words, bring the plants back inside. Check the latest weather alerts for your neighborhood.
The freeze warning takes effect at midnight and lasts through 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
The average last freeze is in the first two weeks of April, according to weather data. We’re barely late.
Record-low temperatures could be broken, especially at JFK, where the National Weather Service says the record low for April 21 is 34 degrees. Other record lows in the area are below freezing.

Temperatures improve once the chill lifts, with the sun coming out Tuesday to provide a nice warm-up.
By Thursday, we’re looking at the 70s again — before yet another drop that will send us to the high 50s and low 60s with a couple of chances for rain.
