First things first: As of this writing, there’s a lot more snow to come. But according to the National Weather Service snow totals released at 9:19 a.m. Monday morning, we’ve already seen a lot of flakes from the monster nor’easter affecting much of the Northeast.
Foxborough hit the early jackpot with 19.3 inches on the ground as of 8:44 a.m., according to NWS. Boston’s Logan Airport, meanwhile, had seen 5 inches as of 7 a.m.
Meteorologists are predicting between 18 and 24 inches of snow, with the heaviest snowfall ending around noon Monday. The heavy, wet snow and high winds could affect trees and power lines, leading to outages. Southeastern Massachusetts will likely see some of the more significant impacts, state officials said.
