Two men were shot after a fight broke out at the 79th Street CTA Red Line station early Sunday, Chicago police said.
An argument led to the fight and involved “several” people around 1 a.m. Sunday, according to police.
A 21-year-old man was shot in the chest, and a 23-year-old man was shot in the buttocks. Both were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition.
Three males were arrested and two guns were recovered, police said.
Red Line trains bypassed the station for over two hours and resumed stops at 79th Street around 4:45 a.m. Sunday, according to CTA alerts.
