WrestleMania 42 has arrived, and over this weekend in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium, careers will be made, legendary moments will be etched in pro wrestling lore, and new champions will be crowned.
Since moving to a two-night event at WrestleMania 36, the stakes have only gotten higher for WWE‘s biggest spectacle of the year.
Here are my full predictions for what’s going to happen on Saturday.

The Vision (Logan Paul and Austin Theory) and IShowSpeed vs. The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) and LA Knight
Starting off the weekend with a fun match featuring one of the weekend’s celebrities, livestreamer Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr., expect plenty of viral moments and social clips.
In the end, though, they’re going to get the crowd hot with the good guys taking the opener. Also, don’t be too surprised if Las Vegas minority owner Tom Brady appears to confront Logan Paul following months of trash talk between the two.
Prediction: The Usos and LA Knight
Jacob Fatu vs. Drew McIntyre in an unsanctioned match
These two are going to brawl all over Allegiant Stadium and continue the fun plunder on ESPN2 to try and get fans jumping onto the main show once it hits the second hour.
With this being the last match before they push fans to download the ESPN app to watch the rest of the matches, I see Fatu winning by doing a dangerous moonsault through a table somewhere in the building.
Prediction: Jacob Fatu
Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship
These two have had one of the better feuds leading into WrestleMania 42, and that should extend into what could be one of the dark horse matches of the weekend.
Vaquer has been a wonderful champion, but Morgan is on the cusp of turning into an even bigger star, and this should be her night.
Prediction: Liv Morgan

AJ Lee (c) vs. Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
It has been a fun ride with AJ Lee these past few months since her return to the ring for the first time in over a decade, but it’s time for the best all-around women’s worker in the company to get her belt back.
Lynch wins, and she then can put over a younger talent before returning to the main event scene.
Prediction: Becky Lynch
The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend) (c) vs. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria vs. The Bella Twins (Brie Bella and Nikki Bella) for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
While The Bella Twins might not compete due to an ankle injury sustained last month by Nikki Bella, they are still scheduled to compete for the titles as the time “Friday Night SmackDown” ended.
It’s either going to be The Irresistible Forces retaining or Bayley and Lyra Valkyria getting the big win. After the company swapped out Bayley last year to have Lynch return at the last minute, this will be WWE’s way of paying back their legend a tiny bit with a tag title win with Valkyira at ‘Mania of her own.
Prediction: Bayley and Lyra Valkyria
Seth Rollins vs. Gunther
In a sea of gimmick and title matches, this is a straight-up battle between two of the best in-ring workers of the past decade in the WWE.
Similar to Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25 or Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels four years earlier at WrestleMania 21, the booking team should just let them have a 25-minute barnburner and tear down the house.
In the end, expect Bron Breakker to return from injury to screw over Seth and help Gunther pick up the win.
Prediction: Gunther
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Randy Orton (with Pat McAfee) for the WWE Championship
Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton will most likely play side characters in their own main event, as Pat McAfee has gotten a majority of the shine the past few weeks on WWE television.
There is a bigger storyline at play here, with McAfee serving as the spokesperson for WWE’s umbrella company, TKO, and for that to continue, Orton has to win.
Whatever happens at the end of night one seems like it’ll bleed into night two’s main event of CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns, so there’s a very strong chance Saturday ends with Pat McAfee holding up the WWE championship as the show fades to black.
Prediction: Pat McAfee (and Randy Orton, I guess)
