Man in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in North Philadelphia 

A man is hospitalized in critical condition after police said he was struck in North Philadelphia early Saturday morning.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the incident happened around 7:41 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, on the 5600 block of North Broad Street.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the Infiniti QX50, a 61-year-old man, was traveling westbound on Chew Avenue. The vehicle then made a left turn onto North Broad Street, proceeding southbound, and struck a 74-year-old man.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital by medics and placed in crticial condition, according to police.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division is investigating this incident.
