A 50-year-old Connecticut woman has been arrested for aggravated menacing of juveniles and several other related offenses after brandishing a long rifle at three kids in Newark, Delaware State Police said.
The alleged incident occurred at a parking lot of a Hilton at the 100 block of Continental Drive at around 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, police said.
According to police, as three juveniles played football in the hotel’s parking lot, Rachel Dinorscia pointed a weapon at them from a paratransit van, causing them to run away.
All three kids were not injured during the altercation, police said.
Responding troopers were able to locate Dinorscia’s van in a nearby parking lot a short time later and take her into custody, police said.
A long rifle, which police say was used in the incident, as well as a secondary rifle and two handguns, were found in Dinorscia’s van, police said.
Dinorscia remains in custody in Delaware on $23,500 bond and faces three counts of aggravated menacing, as well as a count of carrying a concealed deadly weapon and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, police said.
