A man was shot in the leg while driving along I-95 (Delaware Expressway) southbound in the area of the Walt Whitman Bridge in South Philly on Saturday night, police said.
According to police, an unidentified man was driving along Delaware Expressway between the bridge and Christopher Columbus Boulevard at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec.6, when his vehicle was struck by gunfire.
The man was shot in the leg and drove to the Live Casino, where he called 911, police said.
Pennsylvania State Police troopers responded and took the man to the hospital, police said. His condition is unknown at this time.
At around 3 p.m. on Sunday, state police along with PennDOT and Philadelphia police shut down the roadway where the shooting allegedly occurred to look for evidence relating to the case, police said.
No arrests have been made or motives determined at this time, police said.
