Students at Temple University are being warned to avoid a section near campus because of police activity after a reported shooting.
A shooting happened near the intersection of North 12th Street and Montgomery Avenue and prompted a police response just before 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 12.
NBC10 crews at the scene reported seeing yellow police tape outside of a Chipotle on the corner.
Monday marks the first day of the Spring semester at Temple University.
The Temple University Police Department is responding to the investigation being led by the Philadelphia Police Department, according to a spokesperson for the school.
No word yet on if anyone was hurt in this shooting incident or what led to it.
