The move comes two days after the Eagles lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round, ending their season and their chance to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
Patullo was first hired by the Eagles in 2021 as their passing game coordinator. In February 2025, he was promoted to offensive coordinator, replacing Kellen Moore who became the head coach of the New Orleans Saints.
While the Eagles’ defense remained elite throughout the 2025-2026 season, the team was inconsistent and often struggled on offense, leading to widespread criticism for Patullo. Back in late November, Patullo’s house in South Jersey was also vandalized with eggs after the Eagles lost to the Chicago Bears on Black Friday.
Before his stint with the Eagles, Patullo served as assistant coach with the Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs.
