A Trenton has been arrested and charged in connection to a deadly stabbing that occurred in Ewing Township, New Jersey, on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, Mercer County prosecutors announced on Tuesday.
Davon Holloman, 35, is facing first-degree and related charges after Jimmy Chase, 40, of Philadelphia, died after he was found with stab wounds to his torso at the first block of New Hillcrest Avenue at around 5:20 p.m.
An investigation revealed that Holloman stabbed Chase during an altercation, which was partially recorded on a cell phone, prosecutors said.
Although prosecutors did not say what the fight was about, they did say that Chase is the father of Holloman’s girlfriend’s children.
Chase’s three small children were seen on the video trying to break up the fight, prosecutors said.
Chase died from his injuries the morning after the incident, and Holloman was arrested on Jan. 22, 2026, prosecutors said.
No bail has yet been set for Holloman, prosecutors said.
