Philly paramedic steals cash from dead woman’s wallet, officials say

A Philadelphia paramedic is accused of stealing cash from a dead woman’s wallet in Center City.

Gary Robb, 41, of Philadelphia, is charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and official oppression.

The incident occurred back on Oct. 15, 2025, according to the criminal complaint. Investigators said Robb, who was working as a paramedic for the Philadelphia Fire Department, responded to a call near the 1300 block of Lombard Street. After arriving at the scene, Robb found an unresponsive woman at the location who was later pronounced dead, according to officials. He then allegedly stole money from her wallet.

Following an investigation, Robb was arrested and charged back in December 2025. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 5, 2026.

Online court records don’t list an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
