Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect who is wanted in connection with two separate shootings involving tow truck drivers.
Najee Williams is accused of being involved in two shootings, including a December incident and a fatal double shooting in January. On Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, the District Attorney’s Office approved charges against Williams, including Murder, Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA), Conspiracy, Possessing Instruments of Crime (PIC), and Recklessly Endangering Another Person (REAP).
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the first incident happened on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, around 12:17 p.m. Officers had responded to the 4200 Torresdale Ave. and found 20-year-old David Garcia-Morales inside a 2017 Ford F-450 Super Duty towing vehicle.
Police said Garcia-Morales, who had been shot in the neck and thigh, was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries on Dec. 26.
Williams is also wanted for a second shooting that took place on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, according to police.
Around 7:52 p.m., officers were called to the 2100 block of Knorr Street, where they found 25-year-old Aaron Whitfield suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body inside a tow truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second victim, a 21-year-old woman, was shot in the left leg during the same incident and was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
Aaron Whitfield, 25, was killed in a double shooting in Northeast Philadelphia on Sunday night. NBC10’s Brian Sheehan has the story.
Police said Williams is considered armed and dangerous and members of the public are cautioned not to approach him.
Anyone with information on Williams’ whereabouts is urged to call the police department’s tipline at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
There is a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
