A water main break at 12th and Filbert streets has forced Section A of SEPTA’s Jefferson Station to close, causing delays at the busy Center City stop on Monday night.
NBC0 was on the scene to find water in the station.
SEPTA officials said that due to the water main break, all trains scheduled for Section A are being diverted to Section B of the station, causing delays.
Only Section A is closed at this time and the rest of Jefferson Station is open to passengers and trains, officials said.
Section A will not reopen until it is fully cleaned up from the water main break, a SEPTA official told NBC10.
It is unclear if any water service has been disrupted due to the water main break at this time.
