A pair of troopers for the Pennsylvania State Police have been treated and released from the hospital after, officials said, they were injured in a crash that happened during a traffic stop in Delaware County on Saturday.
According to police, the incident happened at about 3:38 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, when the troopers initiated a traffic stop at mile marker 3 along Interstate 476 — near Chester — when the vehicle they were attempted to stop, allegedly, driven by Kamil Harris of Brookhaven, struck the rear of the troopers’ vehicle.
Both troopers were injured and were hospitalized following the crash, officials said.
Harris was arrested after the crash and, officials said, in an interview with troopers, it was determined that he was, allegedly, driving under the influence of alcohol when the crash occurred.
He has been taken into police custody as he awaits charges following the crash, officials said.
As of Tuesday, officials said, both troopers that were injured have been treated and released.
