Man dies after being stabbed in the face and neck in Philadelphia: Police

An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death Wednesday morning in Philadelphia, police said.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, just after 10 a.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Oakdale Street after receiving a report of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they discovered a man with multiple stab wounds to his face and neck.

Nearby, police said officers spotted another man running along a street and stopped him in connection with the stabbing.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:45 a.m, according to police.

The investigation remains ongoing with the Homicide Unit, police said.
