Police in Montgomery County have re-released surveillance footage in an effort to crack the county’s only unsolved homicide of 2025 — the slaying of 27-year-old Cesar Flores-Diaz.
Flores-Diaz was killed on the evening of Feb. 13, 2025, as he was ambushed by a gunman who laid in wait as Flores-Diaz parked his car along the 800 block of George Street in Norristown.
Officers arriving at that scene found Flores-Diaz dead with several gunshot wounds to his head inside a running Volkswagen, that evening.
An investigation found that Flores-Diaz was parking his vehicle outside his home when he was ambushed by a gunman who waited in a stairwell across the street until Flores-Diaz arrived in his vehicle, officials said.
According to police, the suspected gunman fled on foot, headed north on George Street after the deadly shooting.
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspected gunman, who was wearing a unique blue backpack and was seen walking with a distinctive gait on the night of the shooting.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Montgomery County Detectives at 610-278-3386.
