One South Jersey community is gathering in a peaceful solidarity march to speak out against ICE and support their immigrant neighbors.
The rally happening at Borough Hall in Lindenwold, New Jersey, one day after ICE actions sent children running from their bus stop in a panic on Thursday morning.
“How are they gonna learn in school when they’re constantly looking over their shoulder and wondering if they’re coming to get me and my mom my dad’s not here? It’s horrible,” Fran Tribbett said.
Families in Lindenwold said that they are concerned and outraged after yesterday’s actions at the Woodland Village Apartment Complex on Feb. 12.
Part of the incident was caught on camera as fourth and fifth grade students could be seen running in fear as federal agents were conducting an operation near their bus stop.
NBC10 has reached out to ICE about Thursday’s operation and we have not heard back.
