Child shot in the leg in Philly’s East Germantown neighborhood on Friday evening

A child was shot in the leg in East Germantown on Friday evening, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

The shooting happened around 5:40 p.m. on Feb. 13 on the 5700 block of Ardleigh Street, police said.

The young boy was shot in the leg and police said that officers took him to a nearby hospital where he was placed in stable condition.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group is investigating.
